If you've never heard of the bitter cold showdown before and you are a fan of aggressive skating than you owe it to yourself to check it out. It only comes around once a year so get ready now and be sure not to miss it.
The bitter cold showdown has become the biggest rollerblade contest in the nation and offers a true gathering of everyone in the industry. This will be my first year as a vendor taking part in the trade show for my site skateaggressive. as a follower of aggressive skating and a fan of the bitter cold showdown I am pretty excited.
So what is the bitter cold showdown? It's a contest held at Modern Skate park in Royal Oak Michigan from February 25th and 26th. It's been going strong and gaining more and more followers since it's inception in 2001. It's moved venues a few times but everyone seems stoked at it's current location at the Modern skate park. This park offers a wide array of obstacles which in turn results in some heavy hamers being thrown.
On top of being a stellar contest it's also a trade show where you can meet people form the industry and get a look at up and coming skate models and accessories. For a complete line up, schedule and more information check out the link at the top for the actual event website. If you need some new skates before the contest or anytime check out the link to skateaggressive for all the skates you can shake a stick at. Happy rolling everyone!
